Iota Omicron

Lander University

Zeta Tau Alpha was voted number one sorority in the country in part because of involvement!

Each year Iota Omicron is involved on campus in Greek Life activities with other chapters, participates in homecoming, hosts "Pink Out" games for the athletes, and anything else to get involved.  This past October, Zeta Tau Alpha hosted a "Pink Out" volleyball game with the Lander Volleyball Team, in Lander University's Horne Arena.  Sisters decorated the arena with pink decorations and  handed out 'Think Pink, Think ZTA' ribbons to patrons.

Each year, student activities hosts a competition between student organizations during homecoming week.  ZTA is proud to say that we have won 1st place in 2016, 2017, and 2018! We are proud to have the 'Bearcat Cup' in our possession for the next year! During Greek Week in Fall of 2016, ZTA won the Outstanding Philanthropy Event on campus and the overall winners of Greek Week.

Iota Omicron is proud to have sponsored the Lander University Homecoming King and Queen for the 2018 year! We are also to have been named the Organization of the Year and Chapter of the Year for 2017. A sister of Zeta Tau Alpha is also representing our school as Miss Lander University 2017-2018, and will be competing in the Miss South Carolina Pageant this upcoming summer!

ZTA hosted a Bright Pink Workshop in the Fall of 2016. A national speaker came to Lander to educate students on the importance of self-care, recognizing the signs of breast and ovarian cancer, and shared the importance of educating others on these topics. This was an educational program for our chapter and other students that joined us.

Volleyball is an intramural sport that our sisters love to play every year. It is great bonding time and a fun activity to get to know other organizations on campus. A lot of our sisters prefer to sit on the sidelines and cheer their sisters on!

Iota Omicron is known for our many philanthropy events we do. (lCheck out our Philanthropy link)

This upcoming year, we are looking forward to planning some events in the community with Connie Maxwell Children's Home, Bowers Rodgers Children's Home, and our local food bank United Way.

Our sisters are also involved in other organizations such as:
